Privacy Policy

A personal project, not a company

qualien.ai is an independent, personal project built by a single individual for learning and experimentation with AI-grounded software testing tools. It is not operated by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or provided on behalf of any employer, business, or other organization. See the Terms of Service for more on what that means for how the site is run.

Information we collect

• Account information — when you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address and basic profile details to create and secure your account.
• Conversations and content you provide — chat messages, requirements or user stories, attached text, and Olympus run history are stored so you can resume a conversation or review a past run.
• Contact form submissions — the name, email, and message you submit are emailed to us.
• Usage data — aggregate, non-identifying counts (like how many test cases or code reviews have been generated) to understand how the tools are used.

Third-party services we use

qualien.ai is built on top of several third-party providers, each of which processes data under their own privacy terms:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Neon — hosts the database that stores your conversations and Olympus run history.
• Anthropic (Claude) and Groq — process the messages and content you send to generate responses, test cases, code, and agent output.
• Voyage AI and Qdrant — power retrieval that grounds chat answers in qualien’s reference material.
• Browserbase — runs the real browser sessions Olympus uses to execute test automation.
• Resend — delivers contact-form emails.
• Vercel — hosting and aggregate site analytics.
• Cloudflare — DNS for qualien.ai, with no access to application data.

How we use this information

We use it to provide and improve the chat and generator tools, let you pick up a prior conversation or Olympus run, respond to inquiries sent through the contact form, and understand aggregate usage to decide what to build next. We don’t sell your data.

Olympus and the sites you point it at

When you use Olympus, the target URL you provide and the content it finds on that live page are sent to our AI providers and to Browserbase to plan and run test actions. Only point Olympus at applications you own or are otherwise authorized to test.

Data retention and your choices

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. As a personal project without a dedicated support team, there isn’t a self-serve delete-account option yet — email contact@qualien.ai and we’ll delete your account and associated data.

Cookies

Clerk sets a session cookie so you stay signed in. We also use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, privacy-friendly usage statistics.

Children’s privacy

qualien.ai isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Security

We take reasonable, good-faith steps to protect your data. As with any individually run project, no security measure is perfect, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as qualien.ai or the services it relies on change. Check back here for the latest version.
