How it works
Pulse works the way a skilled Quality Engineer does — the LLM decides what should happen, and a deterministic automation engine (Appium / ADB / WebDriverAgent) performs it on a real device.
- Learns the application by exploring its real screens, not guessing.
- Generates the test cases first when you hand it only a user story and its acceptance criteria.
- Executes each step on a real iOS or Android device, resolving elements from the accessibility tree, on-screen text, and vision.
- Validates the result against intent — not brittle selectors — and recovers from whatever gets in the way: permission prompts, update dialogs, a “Sign In” that used to say “Login.”
- Reports back with an evidence-backed result: screenshots, video, and the reasoning behind every decision.
Two ways to start
- Upload test cases — Pulse parses your existing manual test cases and runs them.
- Hand over a user story — Pulse generates the test cases from your story and acceptance criteria, for your review, then runs them.
Point Pulse at your app via an .apk / .ipa upload or a link to the package. It provisions the device, installs the app, and drives it end to end.
The differentiator isn’t “we run Appium tests with AI.” Appium is just an actuator — Pulse is the judgment layer above it, the part that understands the app, adapts when reality diverges from the script, and can tell you why a test passed or failed, not merely that it did.
